Player Self-Evaluation & Shot Reflection
Confidence is trusting the work.
MINDSET CHECK: A bucket doesn't make it a good shot, and a miss doesn't make it a mistake. Grade your reads honestly.
Part 1: My Shot Selection Breakdown STANDARD: 75%+ Gold & Silver
Tally your attempts from this game or film cut
Gold "Let it fly."
Open layup or 3 with all 3 R's. Did I hesitate at all?
Silver "Know my game."
Small edge finish or open pull-up. Was it in my practiced bag?
Bronze "Find better."
Contested 2 or missing 2 R's. Who was open for a better look?
Reset "Don't force."
Did I recognize pressure and move the ball to reset the offense?
Part 2: The 3 R's Self-Evaluation
Rate yourself (1 = Needs Work, 2 = Inconsistent, 3 = Locked In)
1. Range
Did I hunt shots exclusively from the distances and spots I have mastered in practice?
2. Rhythm
Was my footwork crisp on the catch? Did I stay balanced on two feet without rushing?
3. Room
Did I release without changing my mechanics or flinching against late closeouts?
Part 3: Reflection
Describe a Gold shot you missed. Did you maintain shooting confidence on the next possession, or did it make you pass up your next open look?
Identify one Bronze shot you took or a time you failed to Reset. What did the defense do to trigger that force, and what pass was available?
When did you turn down a contested Silver or Bronze look to create a Gold uncontested finish or 3 for your teammate?
Did you pass up any Gold looks because of doubt or fear of missing? What work in practice gives you the green light to let it fly?
